Alumni Profile: Chris Hermann ’80
We recently caught up with our very own Chris Hermann ’80 and had the chance to ask him about his Phi Kappa Theta experience, and where life since Penn State has taken him. Here’s what he had to say:
Where has life taken you since you graduated? Give us a brief recap up to this point including career and family highlights.
Living in La Quinta California, and have been married for over 26 years. Together, we own and manage Hermann Design Group, a Landscape Architecture Planning and Project Management firm located with offices in Palm Desert, Riverside, and San Diego. You can find the website at www. Hdg-inc.com.
What are the most important lessons you learned because of Phi Kappa Theta?
Learning to respect the opinions and backgrounds of a diverse group of individuals. Agreeing to disagree, learning to share, compromise, build memories and relationships that last forever.
When you look back on your time in Phi Kappa Theta, what moments do you tend to remember most?
Parties, Sunday dinners, Intramural sports.
